THE INFLUENCE OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND WORK MOTIVATION ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT THE REGIONAL OFFICE OF DJKN NORTH SUMATRA

This study aims to analyze the effect of work environment and work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) North Sumatra. The research method uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 120 employees selected using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaires using a 1-5 Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 25 with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a coefficient value of β = 0.425 (p < 0.05). Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a coefficient value of β = 0.387 (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, work environment and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance with R² value = 0.673, which means 67.3% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the two independent variables. This study concludes that improving the work environment and increasing work motivation can improve employee performance at the Regional Office of DJKN North Sumatra.
