Industry 5.0 requires future generations to master not only digital competencies but also higher-order skills such as innovation and collaboration. Elementary education plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for these competencies, and curriculum development must integrate human-centered and technology-based approaches. This study employed a mixed-method design by combining classroom action research and qualitative interviews. Data were collected from two elementary schools through classroom observations, project evaluations, and interviews with teachers and students. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) project-based learning model was implemented in thematic lessons for one semester. The findings reveal that integrating STEAM project-based learning significantly improved student engagement, enhanced problem-solving, and strengthened collaboration skills during group projects. Students demonstrated higher creativity in designing solutions and stronger interpersonal communication when completing tasks. These results suggest that STEAM project-based learning is effective in fostering innovation and collaboration skills at the elementary level. Furthermore, the integration of interdisciplinary projects into the curriculum provides meaningful and contextual learning experiences aligned with the competencies needed in the era of Industry 5.0.
